This search reveals details across several categories.
The “Vessel Documents and Certifications” section includes the issuance and expiration dates of the vessel’s Certificate of Documentation.
“Vessel Information” contains the vessel’s name, Primary Number/Official Number, HIN, flag, call sign, and similar data.
The “Service Information” category reveals the vessel’s current service status, the last removal date, and the party responsible for removing it from service.
In terms of particulars, the “Vessel Particulars” section details the endorsement (or “Service”), the vessel’s dimensions, Build Year, and any alternate VINs.
Finally, “Tonnage Information” offers figures on Gross and Net Tonnage and includes Cargo Authority if relevant.
Ownership Information
Owner information, such as the Managing Owner’s name and address, is not included in the search. This information was removed from public access in 2018. To obtain details about a vessel’s ownership history, including any liens or encumbrances, you can request an Abstract of Title.
Alternatively, you can apply for a Certified Copy of a Certificate of Documentation to learn the Managing Owner’s name, address, and vessel endorsement.
